Get Involved!
Volunteers play a crucial role in fostering a strong and vibrant community. Attracting volunteers who are willing to contribute their time and skills on a flexible basis can greatly benefit organizations and initiatives. By offering a range of projects that change monthly, volunteers can be part of a dynamic environment where they can explore their interests, develop new skills, and make a meaningful impact. Whether it’s lending a hand during events, sharing their expertise in workshops, or offering support for specific community needs.
Volunteers can contribute based on their availability and the tasks that align with their skills. This on-call approach ensures that individuals can engage with the community in a way that best suits their abilities and time commitments. So, are you interested in learning more about how to engage as a volunteer in your community?
Teen Work experience and skills certificate program
Our teen work experience skills certification program is in response to the declining mental health of youth in Canada as a result of isolation, lack of social interaction, and essential life skills. Our mission is to engage and encourage youth ages 13 to 17 in gaining both life and employment skills training through volunteering opportunities helping us support front-line community organizations in and around Montreal. These are community organizations that cater to women’s shelters, single parents, group homes, refugees and underprivileged individuals and families throughout Montreal.

“For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of being Carolyn’s neighbour, and I have seen first-hand how she connects our community to those in need in our city. If you’ve ever wondered, “How can I share my resources with my community?”, Carolyn does the hard work of connecting us together in a way that makes the world a better place.

“You don’t know what this little girl or little boy or woman’s life is like right now. They’ve been uprooted or they’re struggling financially and Christmas could be very stressful. So knowing that we’ve alleviated a bit of that pressure makes my heart happy.
It’s so nice because now I post in a bunch of different groups [and] people expect to see my e-mail. You just begin to build this beautiful community of do-gooders.”
- Sherri Prazoff
“Carolyn is one of the most inspirational people I have ever known!
She has been quietly helping our community (& beyond!) for so many years. I have seen her accept challenge after challenge with grace, determination, & laughter. It has been such a pleasure to help her with the toy drive each year.”
